Tips for Promoting Local Authors

  • Use shelf talkers under the books to flag as a local author.
  • Keep bookmarks on hand and within reach of readers.
  • Host authors in your store/library for an event.   Round-table discussions, readings and booksignings all spark interest in books and generate sales.
  • Stay up-to-date on local authors and their new releases.  Most of our authors have web sites, and some put out newsletters.  Request to be put on their mailing lists and you'll be sure to stay abreast of the latest news on their careers and future releases.
  • Bookmark this web site for easy, up-to-date, information on all of our authors.
  • Display new releases in a prominent location for maximum impact.
  • And of course, hand-sell local authors to your clientele!  They'll thank you for it.  And so will we!
